The International Bottled Water Association or IBWA say Americans are using more and more bottles because they are convenient, portable, inexpensive, transparent, and do not break easily. The most popular type of water bottle in America by far is the single-use water bottle, which has been shown to be the most wasteful and worst for the environment as they are often not recycled. Americans spent $11 billion on single-use plastic water bottles in 2011 alone.
Due to environmental concerns, many people are urging consumers to switch to reusable bottles. Some airports have installed water-bottle-specific fountains to help the cause. However, I doubt anyone has figured out a funnier way to reuse bottles than in this next video. The cute dog in this clip is Maymo, and his favorite toy is a plastic bottle.
It’s Christmas time and Maymo’s humans decided to create a very special tree for him as a gift. They stacked 210 water bottles into a pyramid (I’m afraid to ask where they got so many) and then turned Maymo loose. With one little nudge of his nose, they came tumbling down. Then one more inspection of the tree sent the rest of them tumbling.
Maymo has a great time rolling around with the bottles and chewing on them, and tossing them around. He doesn’t, however, appear to be so happy about the Santa hat his humans put on him. His reaction is so funny.
