Paralyzed puppy runs with unbridled joy in her new wheelchair

As pet parents, everyone wants to provide the best things for their fur babies. Caring for these little babies and providing them with their basic needs is something every parent wants to do. Some even go the extra mile to help their fur babies smile.

Like humans, some pets may also need special attention. For example, Erica had found a puppy named Pigeon when she was at a shelter. The previous owner abandoned the poor puppy at a veterinarian’s office, as she needed special care.

Pigeon had met with a terrible accident in which she injured her back and could not use her hind legs. It took her a while for Pigeon to recover from her injuries so that her new owners could help her try other options of moving around.

However, there was a point where Erica could understand that Pigeon was getting frustrated. She was slow and unable to move as fast as the other dogs around her. She kept dragging her hind legs but felt that it was not enough.

Erica contacted the wheelchair maker, who had designed a wheelchair for one of her other dogs. The decision proved to be a life-changer. Erica introduced Pigeon to the wheelchair, but the little one did not know what to do with it.

The kind owner took it one step at a time. Slowly but steadily, Pigeon finally learned how to use the wheelchair. She had fallen in love with it. She would instantly start with her zoomies as soon as she had them on.

Pigeon could play around in the yard with the other dogs and loved to play fetch with Erica. She was always ecstatic each time she had them on, and riding in her wheelchair felt like it was an extension of her body.
