A lot happens in the first year of a baby’s life for the parents and the baby. For all, the year passes by with a rapid learning curve, many things to process, and not a lot to remember.
British photographer Sam Cornwall and his wife decided to end this in the cutest way possible. While it would be hard to document every event, they simply recorded a single second in a day.
Therefore, from the birth of their beautiful baby boy Indigo, they recorded a second of every day for an entire year. On his first birthday, they decided to give him a collage of these recordings as a gift.

And while he probably isn’t going to appreciate it as much at that age, the parents and the world can. The results of the effort are simply stunning.
Dubbed by commentators as better than Jim Carry’s ‘Truman Show’, a short documentary shows a remarkable change in Indigo. From the first smile, through crawling, and first steps, it is all there.
Thanks to Sam’s decision to leave the actual recorded sound throughout the collage, the experience becomes even better as they don’t hide little Indigo tears or his smile.
A truly beautiful experience that reminds us in just under 7 minutes how fast children grow up and how quickly time passes. Therefore, don’t forget to enjoy every second of it.
