Animal videos are very entertaining because they show us a side of animals we don’t get to see that often. I have seen a lot of dog and cat videos but one category that I love to watch is bird videos. Birds are very different from what we are used to seeing. Bids can also learn to do many tricks, we only need to put in the time and patience.
Growing up, I got to see a lot of birds in my neighborhood and at my mom’s house. She got into bird-pets ever since one of her friends gave her a parrot. My mother did not know anything about taking care of birds. We had only had 1 dog and 1 cat by that time. She went to one of her friends for advice and came back home a lot more confident.
One thing her friend told her not to do was to clean the birds’ cage while they were outdoors. When I heard that, I was not sure of the reason. I figured the parrots might get scared of the loud noises or the dog we had at the house. One day, my mother decided she would clean the cage, but didn’t really want to go inside.
She did the opposite of what her friend had told her to do and paid a price for it. As you might have already figured out, the reason for not cleaning the cage outdoors was because if it were to happen that one of the birds found a way out of the cage, chances are you would not get the bird back. I honestly loved having the parrots around then because they made the house feel warmer.
As soon as the parrots started laying eggs, we found ourselves in the middle of a bird-population boom. We had received a couple of other birds, and before one year had passed, we had over 40 birds at our home. They didn’t take up as much space as you might think but 40 birds are still 40 birds.
I had a lot of fun experiences in my time at home and got to see them do some very cool things. One thing that I didn’t get to see growing up is what the birds in the following video can do. For them, being the center of attention for the usual reasons was not enough. They decided to raise it up a notch. This is something you need to see!
