Patriotic Poultry: Chicken Plays ‘America the Beautiful’ on a Keyboard

I bet you didn’t have any idea that a chicken could play the piano. Jokgu, the barnyard Beethoven, can do just that though, as can her sister! In fact, she plays the piano better than “America the Beautiful.”

Jokgu belongs to Shannon Myers and Sei-Hee Arii. According to Backyard Poultry, chickens are smart and easy to train, especially hens, since they are naturally curious birds. You can see in the video that the keys light up, and then Jokgu henpecks at those. I wonder if that is how they do it?

That first audition was Jokgu by herself, but for their second act, she was joined by her sister Aichan. The poultry pair was supposed to give us their rendition of “Born to be Wild.” Unfortunately, the sisters had a little case of stage fright and “chickened” out.

Regardless of their fate on AGT, it is still incredible that they can play a musical instrument. I bet she is the life of all the barnyard parties! Jorge can also play “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.” Perhaps, she will get the chance to perform again in front of a crowd someday soon.
