Have you listened to this viral gospel version of the alphabet by Sesame Street? You should if you haven’t. It’s one of the fantastic and fun ways you and your little ones could learn the alphabet and dance while doing so.
Even if you have already memorized the alphabet (which you have, seeing how you read this text), you can still listen to the magical human voice behind the lyrics and feel the power of music.
Sesame Street is an American children’s education TV show that blends comedy with action and animation. The show has been running for hundreds of years, using several celebrities.

The Sesame Workshop produces Sesame Street as part of its educational initiatives. The non-profit organization is also behind Pinky Dinky Doo, The Electric Company, and other children’s programs.
Patti Labelle sang the alphabet in the gospel video shared on YouTube by Sesame Street, followed by a chorus of muppets. Little Chrissy was on the piano, perfecting the melody for Patti.
The song is both gospel and opera. Labelle was joined on the lullaby by the likes of Elmo, Ernie, and Cookie Monster. The character performances were flawless, and there’s a lot to learn.
“The Lady Marmalade” singer’s presence was felt as the symphony was just too good for even an adult. As Patti sings the delights of the alphabet, the bliss resonated among the puppets.
