Paul Anka & Olivia Newton-John Sings 'Put Your Head on My Shoulder'

A cartoon woman in a red dress sings into a blue microphone held by a man in a blue suit.

Paul Anka and Olivia Newton-John cover “Put Your Head on My Shoulder,” as a beautiful duet. Their sweet and sultry voices create an absolutely unique rendition of the classic song.

The music video of the song is a cartoonish animation that follows a man and a woman in New York City. The man is obviously Paul and the woman is Olivia.

They spend the day together while slowly falling in love, if they aren’t already. It also shows them in a recording studio singing the song together. Then it cuts back to them in the city.

At the park they feed birds, and they ride the Ferris wheel while Paul eats from a bucket of popcorn. You even see them at the back of a car, surrounded by shopping bags.

A man and woman share ice cream in a colorful, cartoon-style cityscape.

While riding the car a bird flies in when Olivia opens the window then it is able to get back out when Paul opens the window on his side.

Near the end of the song you see them standing on a balcony that is overlooking the city. They are drinking while singing to each other. A cat and a dog watch from their own buildings below.

It shows several scenes of the city during the day. The last we see of them is the recording studio where they look at each other longingly as the music softens.
