Tim Foust, the man with the deep voice, is a member of the all-vocal band known as Home Free. He recently collaborated with Peter Hollens to bring a fresh take on the classic song “You’ve Got a Friend,” originally written and sung by Carol King. However, the version of this song sung by James Taylor is the most famous ever.
Foust is a singer & songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee, most famous for his bass voice, enough to even shake arenas. His songs, such as “Timeless” & “Dive Bar Saints,” have topped Billboard charts and achieved much recognition.
His new collab partner is no less. Peter Hollens is a classically trained vocal artist known for his a-cappella music. He has become a social media sensation with his cover of several pop songs.
Foust & Hollens have come up with their new song, “You’ve Got a Friend.” The hot track has been spiced up with the same lyrics from the James Taylor classic, originally written and sung by Carol King. “You just call out my name/And you know wherever I am/I’ll come running oh yeah, baby/To see you again.”
Apart from the beautiful lyrics, the voices of the 2 singers, in sync with one another, deliver musical magic. Tim Foust is a master at creating beats and sounds and mesmerizes his listeners with some fantastic notes. Hollens complements his fellow singer with his sleek, flowy, & bright voice.
Apart from the two friendly singers, their music video shows another friend in the blooper. The two singers choose the countryside as the background for their song. As the two of them start to sing, a beautiful horse makes a brief appearance & distracts Foust while Hollens continues to sing.
Foust and Hollens’ voices complement each other very well. Both singers did fantastic work on the rendition of this classic track. This is one of the most delightful songs about friendship & is food for the soul.
