If you’ve ever owned a cat, you’re probably aware of our feline friends’ love for laser pointers. And for those who’ve never had the privilege of watching an excited kitty chase after a little red dot of light, well, you just stumbled onto the perfect video for a first taste of laser pointer love. The following video presents a compilation of clips featuring cats chasing and pouncing at lasers, and it’s one of the most hilarious videos I’ve seen in a long time. It doesn’t take much to entertain these cats, but it sure is great entertainment for us.
Laser pointers prove that cats aren’t completely indifferent to our existence, which is how they pretend to be most of the time. For some unbeknownst reason, a cat’s attention is completely driven to the beam of light from the very moment they notice it, and it doesn’t stop until the light disappears, when they go back to their usual lazy and relaxed state. But sometimes, even when the light is gone, they continue to look for it. I wonder if this laser point is good for their mental health or if it just drives them mad!
This can create some truly hilarious situations of course, and the video below has some of the best examples of this mysterious but hilarious phenomenon.
