When This Polar Bear Was in Need of Help, These Alaskan Inuits Pulled off the Most Amazing Rescue Ever

Flora Rexford, a Kaktovik resident, is on the phone in a news broadcast, discussing a boat scene.

There are certain small towns in northern Alaska where the residents and wildlife regularly come in contact with each other. One species that the residents are used to seeing is the polar bear.

While this may seem dangerous and frightening to us, these residents know that polar bears mean them no harm as long as they keep their distance.

During certain times of the year, tourists will travel to Alaska to see the polar bears and hire guides who know the land well as well as best practices for

staying safe. One day, a guide and his tourists were in the middle of a tour when they spotted a polar bear caught in a net and struggling for its life.

They knew they couldn’t just sit back and do nothing, so they jumped in and started helping this poor and trapped bear. What happens next is absolutely incredible.
