Police cat acts as supervisor, keeps close tabs on fellow officers

Police cat

Port Lavaca Police Department in Texas recently hired a fantastic officer (A therapy cat) and named him “The Captain.” The cat was always found accompanying his fellow colleagues of the Port Lavaca Police Department.

The cat acted like a supervisor and often kept an eye on the officers. He made sure they were doing what they were supposed to do. Captain definitely knew his job. He did different things with different officers.

When he saw Colin, the Chief of Police, he would crawl up on the chair or his shoulders. Then, with one of the lieutenants, he would walk across her computer to stop her from working.

Captain showed plenty of attitude at times. He would even distract the officer and wouldn’t allow her to do the timesheets. One of the other officers at the police station was so fond of the cat that he would spend time playing with him.

He always looked out for his colleagues, knowing that was his job. Captain had been with the police officers for a while now. The cat had seamlessly motivated the officers a lot. Colin had always wanted to find a cat for the office.

Colin had seen something in his childhood. When he was young, he went to a feed store where a big senior cat lived. People came by and would pet him. He had always liked the idea.

As far as having this cat at the police station was concerned, it made the officers feel at home. So many people would come just to meet “The Captain.” It was nice to have people come to the police department, not because something had occurred in their lives, but just to meet him. It was a refreshing thing for everyone at work. It had definitely made a positive impact.
