Epic Edit of Prince Blowing Minds on 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'

A musician in a red hat and blue suit plays guitar on stage with a red backdrop.

When it comes to Prince, seeing him is half the fun. The rock and roll icon is famous for his eye-catching outfits. Unfortunately, there hasn't been any new footage of him since his untimely passing.

So when TV producer Joel Gallen announced a re-edit, you can imagine how excited everyone was. Finally, there will be more of Prince to see and hear. Christmas came early this year!

Prince ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’

Gallen had originally directed and produced the original Rock Hall broadcast back in 2004. There was a lot of unreleased footage of Prince from the session, which he could use to make the video even better. And, 17 years later, he did it.

The result is absolutely stunning. Sure, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Steve Winwood, and Dhani Harrison were on stage with him, but none stood out as much as Prince.

It’s apparent from the video that seeing him is really half the fun. Very few musicians can rock like him in a red hat, move and engage the audience all at the same time, without breaking a sweat!

Of course, I've said nothing about his playing because, to put it mildly, it would be an understatement. You'd mistake his solo in this song for actual weeping if you didn't know better.

The audio is the same as the original broadcast. What's new is the superb close-ups, better angles, and split-screen shots that highlight just how amazing Prince is as a performer.
