98-year-old widow Daphne Dunn can be counted among Prince Harry’s friends. When he saw her in the audience in this Australian crowd, he went right over to her. Harry needed to introduce his wife to his friend, Daphne.
Albert Chowne, Daphne’s husband, was killed in action in World War II. He was awarded the Victoria Cross posthumously. Daphne carried those medals with her to important events and met Prince Harry during a royal visit at the Sydney Opera House.
When the Prince saw her in the crowd this time he made a point of introducing Meghan. Just from their interaction, it is clear that Harry had told his wife about Daphne before. Daphne wishes the couple the best for their future, with their new baby on the way.
Watch as Meghan is so happy to meet Daphne. The more I see this young man from the UK and his outstanding manners, the more I like him. Whenever we see Prince Harry towards another human being, we know his mother, Dianna, is smiling.
