Daiton was 14 years old and his younger brother, Rylen, was 12 years old. Recently, they saved a helpless animal from a terrible fate. Dray McMillon had just come back from a family get-together with the two kids. Their house was surrounded by woods; hence the kids often explored the area.
However, they found a collapsed animal burrow when they went into the forest. The kids were not sure if there was an animal trapped inside or not. However, they did not want to take the chance and decided to check.
Unfortunately, there was a helpless Raccoon trapped inside the burrow. The poor animal was unable to move and was very scared. The kids knew that they had to act fast to save the animal.
As their house was nearby, both the boys rushed home to inform their father. As soon as the kind man heard about the trapped animal, he picked a shovel and went along to help the raccoon.
The raccoon was almost 2-3 feet down the hole. The animal was half-buried underneath the mud, and only his face had and front legs were visible. So it was hard for the kind people to see the animal struggling.
The trio started to dig the ground carefully as they did not know the exact position of the raccoon’s body underneath the ground. Since it was getting dark and it was becoming difficult to rescue the poor animal, they informed the Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
The volunteers soon arrived at the location and quickly rescued the poor animal. The team took the rescued animal with them to check if he was injured. Fortunately, there were no injuries, and he was released into the wild.
