The beloved TV show ‘MASH’ had classic characters over its many episodes. One recurring character that always brought hilarity to the show was ‘Radar,’ played by actor Gary Burghoff. This video is a collection of his funniest moments during the first 5 seasons.

Alan Alda’s character ‘Hawkeye’ says, ‘I’m a new man here. I have been working down in sales.’ Radar replies, ‘Well, you just have to be on duty in case stuff happens. Inspect the place do a bed check. You’ll probably want to handle that personally.’
Then, Radar does his high-pitched infectious laugh. Hawkeye says, ‘You can inspect the nurses’ showers. I didn’t give you a birthday present.’ Radar laughs again and says, ‘Yes, sir!’

In another highlight, Radar asks Hawkeye to look away while changing his pants. Hawkeye rejects his request telling Radar he’s seen many backsides as a doctor. Radar retreats to the other room and closes the door.
He notices a lady standing behind him as he pulls down his pants. He quickly gathers his clothes and goes back into the room Hawkeye was in, shaking in comedic fear!

In the next scene, Radar asks the boys if they have any books on poetry while standing outside in the pouring rain. Hawkeye tells him to come in. He tells Radar, ‘Your voice is getting deeper.’ Radar confesses that he has a friend. Trapper and Hawkeye hound him about this new friend by putting their arms around him and demanding the truth!
Another fun scene is when Radar is sleeping next to a child, and he steals the teddy bear from him in the middle of the night. After he gets the bear, he smiles and cuddles it. ‘MASH’ brought us many laughs, and plenty of them involved none other than Radar himself!
