Remember Gimbels? With their famous Thanksgiving Day Parade and rivalry with Macy's, it's impossible to forget! Those good old days when Lucy Ricardo and Ethel Mertz from I Love Lucy would shop there. And who could forget the iconic Woolco? Sure, they might've struggled, but man, did they have a massive footprint back in the day.
Let's not overlook EJ Corvettes, founded by two Navy buddies. These guys had the name "Corvette" before Chevy's Corvette even existed! And, of course, Burdines, the Florida store with palm trees and shades of pink and blue all over their buildings. It's almost like taking a mini-vacation just thinking about it.
Then there's Lord and Taylor, considered America's oldest department store, which had a fantastic run until the sad closure of all its physical locations in 2021. And, of course, Two Guys, where you could buy just about anything under the sun!

The video also covers Ames, the fourth largest discount retailer in its prime, and Zody's, the chain of discount stores spread across California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Michigan. So many memories, right?
Watching this video is like opening a time capsule from a simpler time in retail history. It's a fantastic way to reminisce about our experiences at these iconic stores. I'm sure you'll get a kick out of it just as much as I did!

So go ahead and give it a watch! And when you do, don't forget to like and share it with others because it's a fantastic way to reconnect with our past and trigger fond memories of simpler times. Enjoy, my friend!
