There are so many wonderful people in the world who dedicate a good portion of their life, if not all of it, to animals. They make their life not just about them but share it with animals and truly open their hearts up to those animals who need homes the most.
One of these remarkable people is a lady from Scotland named Ann. Ann adopted a horse named Xanthe from World Horse Welfare more than fifteen years ago and she has nothing but positive things to say about her entire experience. Ann took a horse who had been shown nothing but abuse and neglect and was able to show her love and caring and she was able to watch Xanthe blossom from that love.
The two are now inseparable and travel all across Scotland’s countryside together. Because Xanthe is a Shetland horse Ann was able to train her to pull a small cart behind her for Ann to ride it. Ann highly recommends using World Horse Welfare and says that the organization is there to support you through out your entire experience and even after.
This is one lady that we can all learn a valuable lesson from. She sees the beauty in small things and knows that every living creatures deserves to be treated with respect and caring. Xanthe is one lucky horse, that’s for sure!
