Dutch Richard received a call one day from his friend Ava, who told him that some puppies needed a home. Lola, one of the puppies, caught Dutch’s attention right away. Lola and a bunch of her siblings were in a yard with a signboard that said, “Puppies, looking for a good home.”
Dutch adopted Lola, who was a mix of Siberian Husky, Belgian Malinois, chihuahua, and Lhasa Apso. Her owner knew she was brilliant as she had self-taught herself to play hide and seek.
While playing hide and seek, she would just scoot under the chair so her owner could not find her. Dutch had never seen a dog who could do that in his entire life. The little dog had also learned how to communicate with her owner. She did so through talking buttons and had learned a few words.
Whenever she wanted a treat, wanted to play, go for a walk, respond to her owner with a yes or a no, or play hide-and-seek, she would press the button.
However, the adorable pet had a least favorite button, meant for “bath,” & her favorite was “treat.” She would hate to take a bath from the very beginning, and whenever her owner placed the “bath” button in front of her, Lola would just run away.
Once the “treat” button had malfunctioned for a week, Lola was pretty upset and mad about it. The little dog threw a fit and acted like an angry toddler when she could not get the treat button to work.
Lola still meets her sister Cleo and goes on playdates with her. The caring owner believes that the bond between him and his pet is solid. He was with her 24/7 during the pandemic, and she had made her life much happier.
