Pet macaws look really attractive when they fly around in your house. However, if you find a macaw that feels really scared to fly around, there is definitely something wrong with the bird.

Ola and Nash rescued a beautiful macaw bird, who had spent a long time inside a cage. They named the bird Rita. Since the bird had to spend a long time inside a limited space, she could not fly.
Rita’s wings were atrophied due to her long tenure inside a cage. She was so scared to fly that she would stay in one position like a living statue. This made Ola cry a lot after rescuing the macaw.

Both Ola and Nash had to hug and support the bird’s body because Rita would tremble a lot. The bird basically had no desire to move at all. However, Ola and Nash did not lose hope. Nash would make Rita flap her wings to build her wing muscles. They also made the bird undergo several balance workouts to build her chest muscles to balance herself at a height.
After a lot of hard work, dedication, love, and care, they finally improved Rita’s condition. The macaw could fly and land on a perched stick on her own and also climb stairs all alone. There was another parrot in Ola and Nash’s house, with whom Rita grew pretty close.

The two birds would often play with their new owners with a balloon. The two helped to encourage Rita to trust that she would not fall. They would often place a long log of wood at a distance and coax Rita to fly to the log.
Ola and Nash’s determination and love for Rita helped the macaw regain her lost confidence. If the two humans had not showered so much love on the bird, then Rita wouldn’t have been lucky enough to live a free life.
