Rude drivers. There’s nothing worse. Why just the other day, I was driving down the street on my way back home from the grocery store, going the speed limit, when some lead-footed lout in a sports car tailgated me for 10 minutes, honking his horn to try to get me to speed up.
Well, I am not ashamed to admit that I took a lot of satisfaction from the video you’re about to watch because I know you’re going to understand how I feel when you watch it.
It shows two kids skateboarding in a park – they suddenly turn around at the sound of a commotion…
An elderly lady is in the crosswalk, and a guy in a very expensive convertible is NOT happy that she’s taking a lot of time getting to the other side of the street. He’s probably late to his essential appointment of getting extra hair gel or something.
Unperturbed, she continues crossing the street while he gets nastier. Then, right in front of the car, she stops, turns, and whacks the front of the car with her bag… which sets off the airbag. The guy sheepishly takes off his sunglasses and pushes the airbag aside while she serenely continues to her destination.
The lesson is: Never underestimate age. This woman’s probably seen a lot of things, and she knows how to handle knuckleheads. She’s earned the right to move at the speed that she feels most comfortable walking, and if anyone doesn’t like it, too bad.
A note to young people: Be patient. Remember one day you, too, will have grey hair and move maybe a little slower, but you still deserve respect like everyone else.
