The ‘Canadian Pacific Holiday Train’ is a long train of freight cars decorated with flashing lights. Each car showcases unique designs as the train passes and lights up the night with festive joy.
Santa, presents, Rudolph, jingle bells, and more are visible on each car as kids and parents wave at the passing train. The holiday season is marked by the train’s tour of Canada and North America.
The train raises money, food, and awareness for local food banks and communities while performing over 150 live shows. The train also features live music from guest artists.
Since the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train program launched in 1999, it’s raised more than $21 million and collected 5 million pounds of food for community food banks across North America.
This amazing video of the train making its annual run features the music of ‘The Tractors,’ singing ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town (in a boogie-woogie choo-choo train).’ The song was featured on their 1995 album ‘Have Yourself a Tractors Christmas.’
