Nature is unpredictable. You never know what to expect from it, especially when it involves water. You have probably heard lots of unusual stories about what fishermen and sailors have encountered out there. But the video below features an unbelievable story that you probably won’t believe until you see it yourself!
A few fishermen were out on Long Island Sound, when they caught this incredible moment on camera. Rob Kurdy and his friends were fishing when they saw something bobbing in the waves. So they stopped what they were doing to get a closer look. They spotted a deer struggling to stay afloat! It’s not every day you see a deer in the water.
They suspect that the deer walked into a swollen stream and got swept away by the water, and was carried all the way to the Sound. We don’t know for sure how the poor thing ended up there, but thankfully the kind people stepped up to save his life. The deer was getting tired and had probably been in the water for quite some time.
It was this deer’s lucky day though when these men spotted her and knew they had to help. Normally deer are quite jittery and run from humans, but this little one was in trouble and didn’t hesitate to let these men help her. They released her back to the wild.
