Hope for Paws recently received a call about a stray cat who had given birth to three kittens. Joann Wiltz from Hope for Paws rushed to rescue the cat family. When she reached the location, she noticed that the cat had given birth near the rear fence of a house. The area was really cramped.

According to the landlady, the cat appeared after the eviction of the tenants. Since the mama cat was motivated by food, Joann decided to set up a humane trap for her. She placed some food crumbs inside the cage and waited for the mama cat to appear. After a while, the mama cat appeared. She suspiciously crept towards the cage. When she smelled food inside, she happily went inside and got trapped.
Although Hope for Paws was trying to TNR all the cats from the area, their main priority was the mama cat. Joann told the cat that she would get her babies and went to the rear side of the house.

With the landlady’s help, she cleared all the debris from the area and saw three kittens sitting together on one side. One by one, Joann placed the three kittens inside a carrier, of which two were males, and the third was female.
Joann carried the carrier to the mama cat and placed it near her cage. The mama cat sniffed her babies and calmed down a little. Then, she took the cat family home for their safety. She slowly released the mama cat from the cage and caressed her. Then, she placed her in a special made with her kittens.

After a good night’s sleep, Joann gave them a bath. Next, she gave a proper bath to the kittens, and then it was the mama cat’s turn. She named the three kittens Soy Sauce, Beans, and Sprout, while she named the mama cat Miya.
Joann took good care of the cat family at home for three weeks. The kittens had toys to play with, and the cat family was happy with their new lives. Soon they were ready for their forever home.
