School Janitor With Cerebral Palsy Is All Smiles When Team Gifts Him Championship Ring

Greenwood High School has one of the nation’s best high school football teams on and off the field. This was proven when they decided to honor their most valuable team member, their janitor.

Jamie Freeman is that man. He was born with Cerebral Palsy, and it has affected his ability to walk and speech. However, despite all of this, he still greets everyone with a gigantic smile.

He is regarded as very hardworking and always seen with a positive attitude around the facility. Jamie knows that CP is something that is a part of him and has fully embraced it.

Chris Young, the head coach at Greenwood, has stated that Jamie “means a ton” to the team. Setting an example to not only the football players but to the coaches as well.

This is why it was a no-brainer for the Greenwood Bulldogs to give Jamie Freeman his very own championship ring at the end of the season as a token of appreciation.

The players had invited Jamie to their ceremony after having won 14-0 during the season. He thought he was only going to receive a hat but was in for a surprise when he was presented with the ring.

The Greenwood janitor had unknowingly gained their respect through his dedication and ever-present smile. He was not a player or a coach but a janitor who had proudly served his team and reached them significantly.
