We all know how fiercely competitive siblings can be. What happens when their desire to be better than each other is aired on live TV for the entire nation to witness?
This is precisely what D’Angelo and Ruby experienced when they battled it out on ‘America’s Got Talent.’ They competed against each other, performing ballroom dance routines with separate partners.
Ruby and her partner aced their initial audition, making it to the next round. When D’Angelo and his partner Amanda took the stage, the judges were impressed to learn he was Ruby’s brother.
He advanced as well, and the brother and sister duos went head-to-head in the final competition. Ruby was highly confident in her ability to beat her brother, while D’Angelo just took it in stride.
D’Angelo and Amanda performed a stunning routine to Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger.” Meanwhile, Ruby and her partner waited in the wings, starting to get nervous about their upcoming performance.
However, the two started off strong with their tango until Ruby’s dress caused her partner to slide a little and fall. The two continued their routine without any more errors.
Ruby was upset that they had fumbled, but the judges comforted her. The best performance of all was when she went backstage, and her brother let her cry on his shoulder as any good brother would.
