When I hear people say that cats just can’t be trained I think that they’re dead wrong. Cats can be trained just as dogs can be trained. There are plenty of cat videos on the Internet featuring Didga the cat, who is not only well-trained but has learned to do some things that dogs can’t do.
The cat in this video has learned to ring the doorbell. While other cats might scratch at the door to get their owners open at this cat has worked out that really doorbell is far more efficient.
The owner thought that this was worth sharing, and I agree. Next time you hear someone saying that cats can’t be trained point them to this video. If a cat can figure out how to ring a doorbell then a cat can be taught basic training.
