This video shows how fast a living room got engulfed in flames. Created by the Fire Kills Campaign, this video aims to focus on a single thing: it does not take much time for a disaster to strike.
We all love celebrating Christmas, and having a Christmas tree is an amazing tradition; however, many people are unaware that a Christmas tree covered with lights inside the home can be dangerous too. This doesn’t mean that you should stop keeping the Christmas tree in your home, this just means that you need to be more careful.
The National Fire Prevention Association recommends making sure the lights you place on a tree are working in proper order before leaving them on. As pretty as our trees are with the lights on, we need to remember to turn them off at night, or anytime we go out.
Along with that, make sure you are watering your tree every day. A dry tree is much more likely to cause a house fire than a properly watered tree. It’s always better to be safe than sorry.
