Share Asher's Story so He Can Be the Next Oshkosh B'gosh Kid.

A smiling toddler with Down syndrome is covered in white substance, holding a small object.

Meagan Richter Nash was quoted as saying “Children with Down syndrome and other disabilities are incredible human beings, and we want Oshkosh to want to help change the world’s perception,”  Meagan is referring to her beautiful and photo ready son, Asher Nash. Meagan recently submitted Asher’s photos to an Oshkosh casting call. She was unnerved at the response she got back from the well-known business. What she received was a letter that stated that the company had not “requested a special needs baby”. Put another way, Oshkosh didn’t feel that this adorable child was suitable enough to sell their clothing line. Asher is stealing the spotlight on his own and may just have the last laugh anyway.

Young Asher has Down Syndrome, and Meaghan and plenty of others are convinced that Down Syndrome should never be a barrier to Asher becoming a child model, specifically an Oshkosh b’Gosh kid. It really shouldn’t get in his way to do anything else in life either.
“Children with Down syndrome and other disabilities are incredible human beings, and we want Oshkosh to want to help change the world’s perception,” Meagan recently said to The Mighty. “I would love for Oshkosh to meet my son and see what we see in him.” Now the whole world is seeing Asher just as he is and they are loving him!

Asher’s photos were recently shared on Facebook, and he has received over 59,000 likes and 79,000 shares.  Asher’s headshot was picked to play on the Jumbo Tron in Times Square before the New York City Buddy Walk.
