Sheriff encounters three loitering turkeys with something to prove

When a police officer heads out for the day, there is no telling what they will encounter. But no one could have predicted this hilarious encounter with a group of unusual suspects.

Turkeys

The Ada County Sheriff was driving down the road when he saw a trio loitering in the middle of the street. He worried that they might get hit by a car, so he pulled over and approached them.

As he got closer, the camera revealed his reason for pulling over was three wild turkeys. Judging by his laughter, this sheriff already knew a lot of people were going to see this video.

As he approached the turkeys, his laughter continued. He shooed them, but the turkeys were not impressed. The two male turkeys wanted to show the female how tough they were.

Rather than getting off the road, the turkeys decided to chase the officer instead. The sheriff kept them back by tapping the ground with his nightstick and making loud noises at them.

When that did not work, the bemused sheriff tried clucking at them. Unfortunately, making chicken sounds only seemed to offend the plucky males, and they advanced on the officer again.

By the end of the video, the three turkeys had followed the officer back to his patrol car. He giggled as he stepped into his car. “Those guys are angry,” he said.
