There are very few conditions that are as misunderstood and looked down upon as developmental disorders or delays. It’s a very tough challenge for parents to manage, and that’s why they need all the help they can get to help their children live a happy life. In the video below, we meet Garrett Tingum, a little boy who has several growing delays, including sever autism and mild cerebral palsy. His parents noticed that he was having trouble since he was very little; when he was about 1 ½ years old.
They did everything they could to help him, but the most challenging part about dealing with this kind of issues is not that it’s particularly hard or tiresome; it’s that you have to do it constantly. Supervision and caring is all he needs to be a happy and self-sufficient boy, and eventually, a man. That’s why they brought Ruby, a trained service dog who joined their family to take care of Garrett. He was trained by a non-profit organization, Tender Loving Canines, who are another example of a hard-working institution that helps animals have a better life.
Stories like these always melt my heart! It’s so adorable to see those two help each other out, don’t you think? Tell us what you thought in the comments below!
