When They Started Performing, I Found My FAVORITE Christmas Song Of ALL Time!

Christmas is not only about gifts and decorations and parties. It is also about good music that puts us in the holiday spirit. Classical songs are played more often at Christmas time than any other time of the year. Pachelbel’s Canon (Canon in D) is one of the most renowned and one of the most celebrated pieces of music of all time.

This canon was composed by German Baroque composer Johann Pachelbel. The date and the circumstances of this masterpiece are unknown. The oldest surviving manuscript copy of the piece dates from the 19th century. No matter when it was composed, it is as popular today as it has ever been because of its beautiful melody.

I have always been a big fan and I have always wondered if anyone could do it complete justice. As this video shows, they can. This mind-blowing performance by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, along with an amazing children’s choir, is breathtakingly beautiful. You are going to get goosebumps when you hear this rendition! I sure did!

The band and the children’s choir are shrouded in mysterious clouds on the floor, created by dry ice. The venue is decorated for the holiday season, and all of this just adds to the ambiance and atmosphere created by the beautiful music. This is an amazingly talented group of musicians and young people performing this holiday song.
