A passerby was just in time to see rescue a stray dog shivering on the side of the road, but she wasn’t alone.
It was bitterly cold and snowing that night in Ontario, Canada. The roads were frozen over and hardly anyone was out. Thankfully, a passerby found the shivering stray dog just in time.
But the stray dog wasn’t alone on the side of the road. She was curled around 5 orphaned kittens, shivering and trying to keep them warm. This compassionate dog took it upon herself to ensure their survival.
Thankfully, the passerby took all six animals to a local shelter, where they were checked out, treated, and warmed up. The sweet dogs that saved these kittens will hardly leave their side, taking visits anytime she can to see them and make sure they’re okay.
One thing is clear – these kittens are very young, and without the help of this selfless dog, they might not have survived the night. Because of this dog’s quick thinking, these kittens are ready to be adopted.
Hopefully, they can find a home together. No one knows where they came from or how they ended up in the cold, but hopefully, they can all be at peace now.
