He Was Taking Some Photos In The Wild. But Keep A Close Eye On That Gorilla Family…LOL!

John and his friends were with a wildlife guide on a two-week long expedition through Uganda. They were hoping to find and observe some mountain gorillas on their journey. But never had they imagined they would get to experience such a close encounter with a troop of these wild primates! This happened at a Gorilla Safari Camp in Bwindi, Uganda. It is protected by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. Bwindi is home to nearly half of the world’s population of endangered mountain gorillas.

John was hoping to get a picture, but when a giant Silverback and his family of tiny gorillas saw him, things took a different turn. John stayed frozen while the gorillas started examining him. Soon the man was surrounded by primates on all side and they even started grooming him as if he was one of their own. Can you even imagine how he must have felt at that moment? What a beautiful experience!

Fortunately, John’s friend is filming the entire thing and telling him where the gorillas are, because an entire family of them sit down behind him! The huge male is three meters behind him, and three babies are between him and the male. The female is even closer to his right.

They suspect the gorillas found his black shirt and grey hair very interesting, and the babies were even touching his hair. It’s amazing. John says he just “feels like one of the gang.” He’s smiling and holding his camera, unable to move, but this experience is better than any photo.
