Talented Busker Gives Breathtaking Rendition of Con Te Partiro Worthy of a Main Stage

A man in a striped shirt yells on a sunny sidewalk with people and shops in the background.

If you walk along the streets of New Orleans or Boston, you must have come across this guy. Marshall Richards is a natural-born opera singer that performs timeless classics on the roads.

For Marshall, this was not his ideal way of starting, but somehow, it did what it was supposed to do and more. It helped introduce more people to the genre who did not know about it.

Most people, especially the young generation, assume that operas are “boring” or elitist. However, Marshall says that he has managed to spike some interest in young people.

Despite the small crowds, the impact still counts. After all, Marshall is doing what he’s always intended on ground level. He’s been able to create interest in the crowds he gets.

Although Richard Marshal now performs in a theatre in New Orleans, he created a name for himself through street performances. Many people got to know him from the short youtube videos.

He often referred to himself as “The New Orleans Opera guy” as opposed to Marshall Richards. A tactic he used to ensure that people remembered his name, making it easy to find him on social media.

Even years after his videos emerged, The Boston Opera Guy continues to wow people all over Social media with his beautiful views. He now performs Operas in New Orleans theatres.
