Tanya Tucker is a legend in the country music scene. With a career that spans over four decades, she’s released numerous best selling albums and singles, and continues to astound everyone who listens to her perform.
Tanya was only 13 years old when she exploded on the country music the scene with her hit song “Delta Dawn”. The song peaked at #6 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart, and #72 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
Although she first performed this song over forty years ago, “Delta Dawn” remains one of Tanya’s most recognizable songs. It’s no wonder she chose to perform it as part of a medley during one of her shows.
She melded “Delta Dawn” and “Amazing Grace” into a beautifully harmonized tune that took the best of both songs. The popular Christian hymn works perfectly with Tanya’s popular hit, and the result is just breathtaking.
