A homeless man never expected that his struggle would resonate with these three teenagers. The gifts they brought made his day.
Eddie, a homeless man in Corpus Christi, Texas set at his table at the local Chick-fil-A. Counting the money he had, to buy a meal for himself and his dog Socks broke him as he figured out, he doesn’t have enough for a meal.
He was a regular at the Chick-fil-A and as the employees always said, the only reason he ever asked for some food was to feed his dog Socks.
This day though was different. The local teenagers Ryan Cook, Joshua Mechell, and Alberto Montiel also decided to visit Chick-fil-A. They saw Eddie’s struggle and decided they must do something for him.
They immediately bought some gift cards at Chick-fil-A and ran across the street to Dick’s Sporting Goods to buy some warm clothing as well. They gifted all this to visible overjoyed Eddie who said: “this feels like Christmas because I didn’t get anything for Christmas this year.”
“Just setting an example for everyone else. Be selfless and do good for others, then the world would be a better place for everyone,” wrote Ryan Cook.
