America’s Got Talent was in for a treat when The Curtis Family C-Notes took the stage to perform their hit song “I Was Made to Love Her”.

As soon as they assemble on stage, their look screams 1970’s Jackson 5, as pointed out by one of the viewers. With their bouncing perms and flowery bell-bottoms, it looked as though they had traveled from the past.

The judges couldn’t get enough of the Curtis Family’s aesthetic and repeatedly commented on how fantastic it was before getting down to the questions. After learning that they were from San Francisco, Simon asked if they all liked the same kind of music, to which they said yes, clearly not getting the joke.

The youngest child Phoenix revealed an interesting side to her personality - and interest in the universe, which inspired her to name her instrument Neptune because of its color. She also named her sister’s guitar Rhea after one of Saturn’s moons.

Another sister, Kiki, asked Simon Cowell to name her guitar for her, to which Simon responded with “Moon”, eliciting some well-deserved sarcasm from Howie.

The song itself was a resounding hit, starting off high and never letting up until the end. Their vocals were always in perfect harmony with each other and the mother brought the house down with her short solo, demonstrating outstanding vocal range.

At the end of the performance, everyone was on their feet, with Terry Crews exclaiming, “That is what we need right now, a little family!”
