When it comes time to pay tribute to the United States, there are few better ways to honor the country than with the gift of music. And few bands do that better than Pershing’s Own, the US Army Band.

In honor of Independence Day, they performed a stirring rendition of ‘Let Freedom Ring,’ a composition that celebrates all that is wonderful about this nation. It was a performance to remember.

The arrangement itself was incredible, occasionally shifting into a few bars of the national anthem, but blended seamlessly into the rest of the song so there was no discernible change.

The song also featured soaring sections in which all the instruments came together, rising as one. The brass section, the woodwinds, and the rhythm musicians worked together to produce a stirring piece.

The video itself was well done as well, shot on location in and around the Washington D.C. area. This allowed the band to play in front of important buildings in American history and politics today.

They can be seen playing in front of the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Memorial, and other iconic locations, giving the performance an added layer of patriotism and celebration.

Overall, it was a stellar rendition from the US Army Band, which carefully and proudly produced a song fit to be played during Independence Day celebrations for many years to come.
