Casey the Marine Dog was in more than 150 missions in Afghanistan. She served with her caretaker Marine Sgt Ross Gundlach. From the moment they met they have shared a special bond. They went through a lot together, but like any military personnel, they did not finish there tours together.
Sgt Gundlach made Casey a promise. That he would find a way to bring Casey home with him. He prepared to make the plea to bring Casey to the States to live with Ross and his family.
When he got there to plead his case he got the great surprise ever. His fellow soldiers had known of the bond that Casey and Ross shared and they had already pleaded Ross’s case for him. It had been approved!
