This Animal Rescue Centre Has Developed A Method For Treating Veterans With PTSD!

Post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD, is a very serious mental condition. Too often when we think about people injured in war, we only think of physical wounds. It’s been more than 100 years since the first cases of shellshock occurred in the First World War.

Yet we have not changed our way of thinking. Just because you are physically fit does not mean that you are perfectly healthy if you return home from the front. The pressure cooker environment of anxiety and stress takes its toll on our heroic soldiers.

The Lockwood Animal Rescue Center in Lockwood Valley, California, has decided to do something to help these invisible wounds. They set up a program called the Warriors and Wolves program. It takes veterans out and helps them to recover in a much less stressed environment. They have had some incredible successes and we should all get behind them in their efforts.
