On Christmas Eve, Noreen Lucas was home alone and sound asleep fighting pneumonia while the house caught on fire around her. The smoke didn’t wake her up and she most likely wouldn’t have survived if it weren’t for Rex. The family always knew Rex was special but they had no idea he had heroic capabilities like this!
Rex dragged Lucas to the floor, finally waking her. Because Rex saved Lucas, Lucas was able to save some of the family pets. Although some did perish in the fire none would have made it if it hadn’t been for Rex. Pretty amazing, right?
