Nala is a teacup poodle. Every day she trundles around this nursing home and visits the patients. She has never had any formal training as a therapy dog. But what she does for the residents is something that you can’t teach anyway.
A while ago Dr Doug Dawson brought his dog to work with him, at this nursing home in Minnesota. The residents quickly fell in love with Nala and Dr Doug realised that Nala could really help out these old folks.
Every morning Nala starts her rounds. Over the course of the whole day shall visit every single resident of the nursing home. She keeps her own schedule and can even ride the elevator by herself. She spends more time with the residents that need it and happiness in the nursing home is at an all-time high.
