Bubbles the Elephant had a terrible start to life. In 1981 her family was killed by poachers for their ivory. Because bubbles was so small and didn’t have any ivory yet the poachers spared her.
Myrtle Beach Safari adopted Bubbles in 1983 and have been looking after her ever since. She’s grown to full size now – over 9000 pounds – and she has developed a love of swimming.
It was when she was swimming that she met Bella, the Labrador. Bella was abandoned and the Safari took her in and cared for her as well. Both Bella and Bubbles love swimming, and they bonded over the activity. Together they make for one very cute video.
