Domesticated animals tend to be docile. Generation after generation has bred instincts that best help to serve humanity and remove aggression towards humans. Ten thousand years of generations has changed many animals completely into a different species.
Training domesticated animals generally requires a firm hand and patience. A wild animal however? They do not take kindly to being trained. Even if captured as an infant, their wild instincts can be activated and they will attack the hand that feeds them.
This video shows two lion trainers inside a cage full of lions. The trainers poke and prod the creatures to motivate them to do as they are told. One of the lions doesn’t care for it and acts aggressively. That aggression changes the behavior of all the other lions as well.
