In this sketch from Season 9, Episode 19 of ‘The Carol Burnett Show,’ Tim Conway plays an incompetent pharmacist with Harvey Korman as his customer. Tim walks out and takes the paper with Harvey’s prescription. Harvey says he has heart problems, and his doctor wants him to take the prescription immediately.
Tim looks at the paper and asks, “You wanna grow hair on your heart?” Tim asks Harvey if he can make out the doctor’s sloppy writing. After they work it out, Tim walks over, grabs some jars, and mixes a concoction together, causing an explosion.
Tim walks back over with the burnt paper and asks Harvey if he is reading it correctly. Harvey angrily says Tim got it wrong and corrects him, and Tim says he understands now.
Tim grabs a huge net and says, “Mama always said there were gonna be prescriptions like this!” He runs into the back room, and there are banging sounds and animal noises.
Tim grabs a huge egg and cracks it into the prescription mix, and it begins to smoke. As Tim tells him it’s time for the hard part, Harvey looks concerned. Tim puts on a welder’s mask and starts using a blow torch. The table begins sparking, and he calmly walks the prescription to Harvey and says, “That’ll be a dollar and a quarter.”
Harvey responds, “Are you crazy?” Tim says, “Are you afraid to take your medicine?” Tim tries to put the spoon in his mouth, saying, “Choo-Choo.” Harvey refuses, and Tim says he will take the medicine if Harvey does too.
Harvey says, “Oh, I’d like to see that. If you take it, I’ll take it.” Tim takes it, and at first, he is fine. Then, Harvey apologizes and says he’ll take it. Tim goes beneath the counter to bag it up, and he comes back up with a furry head because the prescription turned him into a beast. Tim jumps over the counter to attack Harvey!
