One fine day, Claudia found a tiny chick under a truck. It was a 100-degree day and was very hot everywhere. So she took the baby chick back home and named her Sweet Dee.

Sweet Dee immediately took a liking to Claudia and got really attached to her foster mom. Even when Claudia did her workouts, the baby chick would sit on her shoulder. According to the mom, both of them were attached at the hip.
Sweet Dee would also sit at the back of Claudia’s chair while she sat working on her laptop. Once, when Claudia took the chick to a nearby park and tried to place her on the ground, Sweet Dee seemed a bit skeptical at first. However, she soon overcame her fear.

The blades of grass were taller than her. She would venture not too far before realizing that she was too far away from her mom. The little bird would immediately run back to her mom.
Sweet Dee loved to follow her mom while walking. However, after going some distance, she would often get attracted towards a worm or a fly and chase after it. That was when Claudia realized that Sweet Dee was getting more acclimated with being a chicken.

Soon the chick realized that she loved the outside more than the inside of the house. So Claudia soon began taking the baby chick to the party pretty much every day. Sweet Dee would just spread her wings up, flop to the side, and bask in the sun.
The chick wanted to be a part of every action. She also became great friends with Claudia’s cat. Once when Sweet Dee grew up, Claudia realized that she would have to take the chicken out and introduce her to her herd. So she took Sweet Dee to a sanctuary where she began staying with other chickens. She would often visit the rescued chicken when she visited the sanctuary.
