In this performance, Tom stands alone on a dark stage lit by dim green and blue lights. A solo spotlight shines on him as he wears a suit, and there’s a group of people behind him on risers with instruments.

The song has a gentle introduction, and Tom says, “To live for today, and to love for tomorrow, is the wisdom of a fool. Because tomorrow is promised to no one. You see, love is that wonderful thing that the whole wide world needs plenty of.”

Tom continues, saying, “And if you think for one minute that you can live without it, you’re only fooling yourself. Listen, please, I’d like to tell you something that happened to me just the other day.”

He bows his head and begins to sing with the music. Tom hits high notes with power. He is visibly crying and sweating during this performance. He ends with a strong final note with the orchestra and choir behind him.
