Herman's Hermits was a band that started making money through music, but it was never about becoming rich and famous. Instead, the band members were thrilled to get paid the equivalent of $6 for the performance. Peter Noone, the lead singer of the band, is still touring and bringing fans hits like "I'm Into Something Good", "Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter" and "I'm Henry The Eighth, I Am." Interestingly, The Beatles and other groups indirectly helped create Herman's Hermits' unique style.

Earl-Jean McRae originally recorded the song under the same arrangement and piano played by King, who agreed to care for the singer financially when she became pregnant with Gerry Goffin's child while on tour with the Cookies.
