Look… when you see a screencap of a video that shows a pygmy hedgehog on her back in a tiny shopping car while a Dachshund puppy looks on, you KNOW that this is going to be a video that will vie to be in the upper echelon of Cuteness. It makes you want to click “Play” so that you can see if there are even cuter scenes within. Well, I say, “Go ahead! Do it!” Because you will not be disappointed here.
The stars of the video are Minnie, the African Pygmy Hedgehog, and the two Dachshunds, a puppy named Peanut and her mommy, Maya. The video opens up with Minnie walking across piano keys while Maya stands on the bench, her front paws on the keys too like she’s playing. Hey… I TOLD you that this was cute stuff here. It gets even better throughout the video. Fasten your seatbelts.
While the video is a mere minute-and-a-half, but it crams cute images into it like Mel Brooks crams jokes into his movies. You barely have time to breathe between each image. They dress up in all kinds of costumes and pose in nearly every conceivable place. As you would expect, they are social media superstars, with nearly 70,000 followers on Instagra,. Yeah, I’m one of them too. Every photo they post is met with hundreds of likes.
Since the video was uploaded, apparently Minnie passed on since her icon on the Instagram page has an angel’s halo next to. There is another hedgehog in the mix though – her name is Peppa and she is equally adorable as her predecessor. Maya and Peanut adore this new friend of theirs and they are all still equally photogenic. It’s sad about Minnie, but she’s constantly mentioned in tributes of throwback photos.
