Earlier, Queen band members Brian May and Roger Taylor had teased a release of the unreleased track. The track was recorded by Queen with Freddie Mercury in 1989. The musical band had included the track in their album, The Miracle.

Taylor revealed that they had completely forgotten about the rediscovered track. He said, "It's wonderful, a real discovery. It's a very passionate piece." The other Queen member, May, also revealed that their co-member, John Deacon, had also worked on the track.

"Face it Alone" was one of the most downloaded songs worldwide for 5 consecutive days. This proved how much people missed Freddie and loved to groove to Queen's tracks. Fans also loved Freddie and the Queen members coming together in this track.

Hearing Freddie's voice through this song was like a gift to his fans. It would be correct to say he had the talent to make dull vocals shine again. He was the voice of Queen, and in terms of audience connection, charisma, musical skills, and showmanship, he was incomparable.

Taylor and May said that although they had made the track with Freddie, they had forgotten about it. But then, they made a fundamental discovery, which was hiding in plain sight all these days. The title of the song was unknown when they discovered it.

The song "Face it Alone" was very simple, without many lyrics. However, the way it was composed would take the breath away of any listener. Listening to Freddie's voice after ages would make any of his fans get nostalgic. Everybody would enjoy this beautiful track.
